Heartfelt is hiding in the corner of Samfunnet in Trondheim getting ready for his soundcheck. We still have free spots on our guestlist! Give us a shout trondheim people!
I scored this short film, shot by Kyrre Wangen and edited by Andrew Brooke. You should check out.
I’m looking forward to playing support for the excellent band, Maribel in Trondheim, March 10th. They just released their second album and they have a bunch of remixes on the way. Check out the remix for The Thief by Torkelsen that came out today!
More details about the concert here. Follow Maribel on Facebook here, and as always, you’ll find me on Facebook here.
I wanted to share some pictures from the gig with High Places last week. Andreas Paleologos outdid himself with the visuals. He had everything mapped out on a keyboard and played along to the music so that visuals were in perfect sync with the music. I’ll post a video clip of it soon.
I’ve been in a lockdown in my studio the last coupla weeks preparing for my first gig with new material and the new setup tomorrow night in Oslo. The list of things to be excited about for the show just got longer: My good friend Andreas will be VJ’ing for me! He showed me some samples last night on FaceTime and it looks superb. As always. Check out some pictures from last time around when we worked together.

I’m joining the ranks of Mr. Invisible, DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist with my SP-404 sampler (here’s to trying!). Check out this great 1 minute clip. I’ve stil got ways to go, but I am for real getting down with my drum pads today!
I’m working on the live version of one of the songs from the album and this is going to turn into a single version of it too. No live drums this time around, but my sexy drum machine got things rolling.
My neighbors in the studio are seemingly gone today, so I’m taking the opportunity to play loud music. I think I’m still kinda worked up about D’Angelo’s show in Oslo last night. That was one for the books. Amazing. So today I’ve been listening to Chelsea Wolfe and Austra. I just discovered Austra (always a dangerous thing to say since I’m most likely late in the game to find them) and I’m really liking it. Chelsea Wolfe is something to herself. Really intriguing lady.
I’ve thought about this before too, but I think a majority of the music I find inspiring is made by female artists. I don’t know why I’d expect that to be different, but it’s becoming more and more apparent.
I’m thinking a great deal about visuals these days. Another interesting aspect of Chelsea Wolfe’s work:
