Maribel
I’m looking forward to playing support for the excellent band, Maribel in Trondheim, March 10th. They just released their second album and they have a bunch of remixes on the way. Check out the remix for The Thief by Torkelsen that came out today!

I wanted to share some pictures from the gig with High Places last week. Andreas Paleologos outdid himself with the visuals. He had everything mapped out on a keyboard and played along to the music so that visuals were in perfect sync with the music. I’ll post a video clip of it soon.
I’ve been in a lockdown in my studio the last coupla weeks preparing for my first gig with new material and the new setup tomorrow night in Oslo. The list of things to be excited about for the show just got longer: My good friend Andreas will be VJ’ing for me! He showed me some samples last night on FaceTime and it looks superb. As always. I’m working on the live version of one of the songs from the album and this is going to turn into a single version of it too. No live drums this time around, but my sexy drum machine got things rolling.
a breather
Last night’s concert was really, really fun. It was actually the first time we played a full set and it was great to play some old stuff again. Now I’m packing and migrating south for a few days before I come back to Oslo and finish the arrangements and recordings for the record. We start mixing later in September and October. New things to look forward to. But now - it’s time for a break. It’s been a busy, intense, challenging, but great summer and last night was a perfect finale! See you in the fall!

festival and a world premiere
I’ve been rehearsing with my new (and expanded) band this weekend for the upcoming gig at Øyafestivalen this Wednesday. The weather is supposed to hold up, the new songs are sounding better than ever and the band is excited like a kindergarten, according to J., the drummer. It’s looking good.
I get to enjoy two days of the festival before I get on a plane and catch the last rehearsal before the premiere of my Symphony #1 for Strings on Saturday. I’m slightly nervous about that, but I know that the music is in good hands. It’s a big/good week.

Fun, Fun.
After weeks of writing, writing and writing, it is finally time to change gears. The next nine days are going to be amazing. It all starts off tonight with the premiere of the video for Homestreet, as well as a concert. Next up is the gig at the amazing Øyafestivalen in Oslo on Wednesday, followed by the world premiere of my Symphony #1 for Strings next Saturday. I hope you can join in on at least some of the fun!
